Izzie was in Tacoma driving her car towards work when the radio station suddenly cut out for a news bulletin. As the reporter began talking, Izzie's heart suddenly sank. There had been a shooting at Seattle Grace. That was the only thing Iz could exactly comprehend as she heard the reporter continuing to speak of the situation. The only thing that came to Izzie's mind was her friend's she had left behind. Meredith. Cristina. Sloan. Derek. And even Alex.
Quickly turning her car around, Izzie began heading towards Seattle. It was about thirty miles between Tacoma to Seattle and Izzie nearly floored it until she reached the hospital. Arriving at the hospital about twenty minutes after speeding the entire time there, Izzie saw the SWAT team leaving the hospital. What had happened? Isobel wondered curiously to herself as she got out of her car and hurried to the doors of Seattle Grace.
The doors opened and Izzie made her way inside. The hospital main lobby was filled with reporters wanting to get their evening news report. Iz pushed her way through the crowd until she walked into the ER ward. She wasn't seeing anyone she knew. None of her friends seemed to be around. Izzie slowly shut her eyes and left out a sigh, hoping her friends were okay. But at this point it didn't seem that way. Having no luck in finding anyone, Izzie asked a nurse to page Dr. Yang. She needed to see a familiar face and if anyone would have survived a shooting, it would have been Cristina. Cristina was a fighter, there was no doubt about that one.
