ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE[/color] Angela smiled. Today was going to be a good day, a happy day. She was going to start her Peds fellowship, and she would help sick kids, and everything would be happy happy joy joy. At least, that was what she attempted to convince herself as she pulled on her white lab coat, standing at her cubby in the residents lounge. She had already taken the liberty of decorating the coat collar with blue and purple butterflies, an intricate pattern that her background in art seemed to help her with. She felt sick, nervous, like the butterflies on her coat had worked their way into her stomach.
Her thoughts moved at a hundred miles a minute, and she unconsciously rubbed her hands together, wincing in pain. Today, of all days, of course, she had to have a flair up. It wasn't bad, certainly not as bad as it could have been, but even still it was just... unlucky. Angela scowled to herself for a moment, before trying to compose herself she was going to work with children, she had to be bright and smiley and bubbly and fun.
Leaving the lounge, she started up the stairs, much preferring them to the elevator, to ensure that she got in the appropriate amount of steps per day, her pedometer attached to her scrubs. She had been given a tour of the hospital, but it was confusing, like a maze and she wasn't exactly sure where she was going. It couldn't be that hard to find, right? It was the wing with all the screaming and laughing children, right? Oh if only she wasn't so foolish.
Angela checked her watch, she was due in the Peds wing in five minutes, there was no way she was going to make it in time. Looking around, her eyes finally rested on a person in blue scrubs, a friendly, kind, helpful looking person in blue scrubs. “Excuse me, I'm new, do you think you could help me find the Pediatric wing?” She smiled flashing pearly whites, her brown ponytail bobbing as she talked.
